If you skate fast or carve hard, your bearings are flexing. Bearing spacers reduce how much they can Flex, decrease lost speed during side loading, And increase the life of your bearing. Downhill skateboarders refuse to ride without them because no spacers made us slow, heavily reduce traction, and because we got rather tired of having our wheels fall off when riding down mountain roads. 

Now the lack of standardization in the roller skate world does mean that there's a chance that these may not fit. Ensure that you have 8 mm axles and if possible if you can measure the width of the bearing seat inside of your wheels so we can do a better job of advising you. Unfortunately with bearing spacers there's always a degree of trial and error to match which spacer works with which wheel..
