Don’t mind the cheeky name, These are a performance nut and are not a consumer product. We will not sell these to people who haven't spoken to us about special handling precautions. Intended specifically for slalom and downhill racers who swap wheels or adjust spacers, every few runs, not for any other type of rider. King pin nuts sold in sets of two axle nuts are sold in sets of 4. Do not handle with bare hands without washing before eating or touching other things.

These are the highest quality replacement nylock nuts. These are MIL (military) Spec and are for use in aircraft applications. They are also a popular choice for race care fasteners due to the unique properties of the costings and nylon ring. The nylon is of a higher quality and it has a stronger hold on the axle than the standard skate nuts. Be warned the threads don't cut them as much and they will stretch out and looks funny but they work and they last longer. How long depends on a few factors mainly how much you remove and replace the nuts. Each time you take them off and then put them back they will lose a little hold. I replace mine when it takes very little effort with a skate tool.

These are Military specification versions of what is commonly referred to as a "Nylock" or nylon locking nut.  They utilize a metallic coating prized for a unique combination of properties that give it exceptional corrosion resistance, and it reduces galling. This coating will corrode before the underlying base metal is attacked. It offers superior protection, especially in salt-water and marine environments, outperforming zinc in these specific conditions. It also offers excellent lubricity and Low Friction offers smooth adjustments, which is ideal for frequent disassembly and reassembly, as it prevents galling and seizing. These nuts are rated at 125,000 psi tensile strength and for operating temperatures of up to 250° F.

The electroplating process allows for a very uniform and consistent thickness, even on complex shapes and geometries. This ensures reliable protection across the entire part. The iridescent goldish brown offers even more corrosion resistance.

Warning, wash hands before eating when handling these nuts. Wearing rubber gloves is probably a better idea. Keep away from children. Should be disposed of as hazardous waste. If you order these and we don’t know you, ensure that your phone number is saved on your account so we can call you.
