Riptide originally formulated their urethane to make bushings for downhill skateboarders who are very picky often looking to maximize maneuverability while minimizing characteristics that reduce stabilty when skating at speeds of over 100 kph. The very things that make them great for downhill skating makes Riptides are great for Artistic, Rythm, Jam, Derby, Speed, or Agressive skating. We also have soft formulas for lighter weight risers like small kids. 

65a - 80a are poured in APS formula, for consistent support throughout the turn, while the harder cushions 84a - 93a are poured in their Krank formula which has higher rebound characteristics (Less Hysterosis) which aids in stability for larger riders or for agressive skating with large impacts. These bushings increase resistance as gou turn deeper, but they still alow for a ton of mobility. Krank also responds better to over tightening your cushions, ie they behave like harder bushings without damaging them as much as standard urethanes.
